Blue Iris Quilt Shoppe
As a new business owner in Palo Cedro, Kimber Rickey has been a native of the Shasta County area. She graduated from Simpson College with a bachelor’s in business administration and human resources and started her early career in the community college writing grants, then in the administrative office processing payroll for five eastern Shasta County K-12 school districts.
Kimber comes from a family of sewists, but focused her talents on classical piano, trumpet and her heart and lungs “breathe” music. It was just in the last ten years she picked up a sewing machine and made her first quilt by improv and has found her passion for quilting, teaching and helping new sewists learn their art. When the opportunity opened up for the acquisition of the Blue Iris Quilt Shoppe in Palo Cedro, Kimber has jumped in feet first and loving it! The fabric store offers quality fabrics, notions, classes and long arm quilting services. Come by and say hello!
